The 86th Academy Awards airs Sunday March 2, 2014, at 4 p.m. (PST) The award show will take place at the famed Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Calif., and will be broadcast on ABC. Ellen DeGeneres, a talk-show host and actress, will host the outstanding award show for the second time since 2007. This year, the presenters range from celebrity favorites such as Jennifer Lawrence and Anne Hathaway to Daniel-Day Lewis and U2. The theme this year is heroes, paying tribute to movie heroes throughout the evening.

In addition to featuring heroes on the big screen, this year’s Oscar ceremony will honor the 75th anniversary of The Wizard of Oz. The classic film was nominated for six Academy Awards in 1939, winning two of them. The women and men of the evening will decorate the red carpet with show-stopping Oscars attire.

The Dolby Theatre opened on Nov. 9, 2001 and has since been renamed twice. It’s located on Hollywood Boulevard and has been the location for various award shows, performances, productions, and public cultural events.
